Wasabi + Chocolate = Kit Kat?

wasabi flavor

This bar is a specialty of Shizuoka prefecture, and wasabi is chosen as a flavor because that area is known for its wasabi. Known as “Japanese horseradish”, its root is used as a spice and has an extremely strong flavor – aka it is pretty darn spicy and clears your sinuses if you eat too much of it at once.

So…why oh why did Japan think this was going to make a good Kit Kat flavor?! I thought soy sauce was bad, but this takes things to a whole new level!
